Having spent the last seven months talking to a unique range of agents, whilst out on the road with Viewber, it's now much more obvious to me what's coming down the line and I have some strong feelings about what estate agency is likely to look like over the next couple of years. Many will enter a sale, investment or purchase without taking professional advice – which seems mad to me given the life changing nature of such a move. Contact me to see what you should be paying your agent, which agent you should choose, what fee you should pay, whether you should have more than one agent, how long should the contract be etc..
Which solicitor, mortgage broker or surveyor should I use….
Over the years I’ve built solid relationships with dependable suppliers of such services. Please ask and I’ll happily point you in the right direction. The best can be seen if you click on services in the drop down in top right corner of the site.
How can I invest in the property market to make my money work better….
Given the long-term ultra low interest rate environment we are in, and the seemingly endless hurdles the Revenue is putting in front of such investment, there are other ways of getting returns without having to buy a property. Instead of reading about others making money out of property you could think about placing funds with reliable, below the radar and busy developers for whom either IRR equity returns of 15% + or 6% on loans are commonplace. I’ve been working with such people for decades and have already placed such funds – ask me who with and how.
Company advice – either consultancy or Non Exec positions….
37 years is a long time in the estate agency world, the last 21 of which have been at one of the best known and dynamic companies in the agency world – Douglas & Gordon.
